Objectives

The objectives of WP110 the ‘’Technical Observation Platform’’ consist of providing support to the monitoring of the technical elements of the Strategic Research Agenda (SRA), in line with the guidance provided by ACARE’s Integration Team and the ACARE agreed Terms of Reference.

Description of Work

At its plenary meeting on the 23rd of October 2002, ACARE recognised the importance of the SRA implementation and agreed that a special effort should be made by all stakeholders to monitor the implementation of the Agenda.  To reinforce this message, ACARE members expressed their expectations that Member States as well as the other stakeholders, including the Commission and EUROCONTROL, would use the SRA as the basis for establishing their forthcoming research programmes. It was therefore decided to create a Technical Observation Platform (TOP) to undertake this task the primary aim of which would be to:

• Monitor for ACARE the implementation of the SRA in the stakeholders research programmes,
• Related to the objective above, to provide guiding information to the stakeholders in the planning of research programmes.
